Work Points Rule Summary

The Work Points system is an incentive program that rewards racers and their families for volunteering at one of the series events.

How work points operate

• Replacement: If a racer volunteers for a round, they forfeit any race points they would have earned that day. The Work Points value is applied to that specific round's score.

• Calculation Base: Work Points are calculated as a percentage of the rider's average race points received in all other completed, non-dropped rounds throughout the season.

End-of-season score calculation

• Drop Round: At the end of the year, the single lowest score which could be a poor race finish or a "Did Not Finish" (DNF) is dropped.

  • A missed race does not count as a drop! Your dropped round is the lowest scored round.

• Final Tally: All remaining 9 scores (including the Work Points value) are summed for the final season total.

Club Status Work points Value

Non-Club Member 125% of the rider’s average race points.

Series Club Member 150% of the rider’s average race points (higher incentive).

Pro Class Exception

The PRO Class is excluded from this rule. PRO class riders do not receive a drop score or Work Points.
