Paul has been involved in Utah motorcycle racing off and on for almost 40 years. As a kid he raced motocross, desert and flat track. Since 2006 he has been a member of the Sage Riders and held many offices within the club including President and Secretary/Treasurer. During this time he has been very active in the land use negotiations that have taken place between the clubs that race in Jericho and the BLM.
Outside of racing, Paul has been involved with land use advocacy throughout the state while he sat as a member of the board and eventually the President of the board for Utah Shared Access Alliance. While working with USA-ALL he attended Congressional hearings to work alongside the AMA to prevent the closure of the San Rafael to motorized recreation.
Paul believes that off-road racing on public land is a privilege that we need to protect and it takes a lot of work behind the scenes to keep it alive and thriving. UMORA as a racing organization will be focused on keeping that privilege alive
Kerry has been involved in motorcycle racing in Utah for over 40 years. His first race was at the age of 2. Kerry has been a member of Sugarloafers MC since 1996 and has been a central part of the success of the club putting on national level races.
Kerry has brought his kids up through racing and watched them all become top level competitors. In 2021, Kerry’s son Tyler became the first Utah racer to win a National Hare & Hound race.
Dave is our “tax & accounting guy”. He’s a CPA in Salt Lake City and has a lot of experience working with exempt entities and non-profit organizations. Dave’s not much of a racer (too slow), but loves to ride as much as possible and his kids have been racing motocross in recent years.
He has worked with, set-up and assisted many off-road and land use organizations over the years, including USA-ALL, Ride with Respect, Sage Riders and others. Much of his support has been assistance with the organization’s tax and accounting compliance and general organizational support.
He’s been recreating on public land his entire life, loves to ride, understands the tax and accounting issues, and is always willing to help out and support the racing community.
Michael has been working professionally in government affairs since 2004. He specializes in land use policy, rural issues, natural resource issues and conflict\dispute resolution and negotiations. Michael ran a 12,000 member grassroots non-profit and advocacy organization for over 10 years. He has extensive experience in non-profit management, advocacy, fundraising, grass roots mobilization, and policy analysis.
As a member of the board of directors for UMORA, Michael will help the organization with any land use matters that may arise.
